Yinson Production and Azule Energy are collaborating on a pioneering offshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) project on the FPSO unit Agogo in Angola. This initiative marks the world's first post-combustion carbon capture unit on an FPSO. The pilot-scale plant aims to assess the technical feasibility and gain operational expertise, providing an essential step toward implementing CCS technology in zero-emissions FPSO projects. The FPSO Agogo is set to include various emissions reduction technologies, enhancing operational efficiency and positioning it as an industry leader. The project is scheduled to begin operations in Q4 2025.
