World Bank Appoints New Country Manager for Malaysia

Mr. Firas Raad has been appointed as the new Country Manager for the World Bank Group Global Knowledge and Research Hub in Malaysia. Mr. Raad, a Jordanian national, joined the Bank in 2002 as Senior Health Policy Specialist. He has since held various management positions, his most recent assignment being Country Manager for Kuwait. “I am extremely honored to be taking on the role of Country Manager and will be focusing on deepening our collaboration with the Malaysian government and other stakeholders in working towards innovative development solutions for all Malaysians,” said Raad. “We will also continue to leverage on Malaysia’s own journey in ending poverty and sharing prosperity over recent decades to support other countries with similar aspirations.”
