Volvo Group Signs Deal With Vattenfall To Buy Half of New Swedish Wind Farm’s Power
Volvo Group has entered a long-term agreement with Vattenfall, the leading renewable electricity producer in Sweden. Volvo Group will purchase 50% (around 230GWh/year) of the renewable electricity generated at the Bruzaholm wind park for a 10-year period starting in late 2025. This partnership supports Volvo Group's commitment to achieving a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions value chain by 2040 and aligning with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. The Bruzaholm wind park, comprising 21 turbines, is set to begin construction in summer 2023 and be operational by autumn 2025 when the agreement takes effect.
