UEM Sunrise Berhad recently held its 'Waste to Wonder' community programme, aimed at inspiring and encouraging the community to adopt sustainable waste management practices through innovative and creative methods, in conjunction with World Nature Conservation Day. The programme, which featured two series of events, is aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG-12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG-13 (Climate Action). UEM Sunrise collaborated with social enterprises, including Hara Makers, KITARAN, Kitarefill, Refiller Mobile, Luzou, and SIREH Park to teach students aged 10 to 12 about planting, composting techniques and maintaining an edible garden.
