Malaysian health and wellness company Ecolite Biotech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd has signed a long-term agreement with French and Japanese joint venture solar company TotalEnergues ENEOS to provide a 0.4 megawatt-peak solar photovoltaic (PV) system to its facility. This system will generate approximately 450 megawatt-hours of renewable energy annually, powering about 10 percent of the facility. This will reduce the company's footprint by about 290 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Under the agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS will fully fund, install, and operate the solar system while Ecolite will only pay for the electricity generated for 20 years.
