Tokyo Gas, Japan's largest city gas provider, is shifting its overseas focus to renewable energy to combat climate change. While investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG), the company plans to spend JPY200bn (USD1.4bn) over the next three years to increase its renewable capacity to 6 gigawatts by 2030, with a particular emphasis on offshore wind farms. This aligns with the global trend among energy companies to pursue carbon neutrality targets by 2050.
