Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to Invest RM20 Billion Annually to Fast-track Path to Net-zero by 2050

Electric utility company Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) will invest around RM20 billion per year over the next 28 years to fast-track its energy transition plan. “The investment will pave the way for TNB’s journey towards its net-zero (by 2050) aspiration," said TNB President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Indera Ir. Baharin Din. Earlier this month, the company had announced initiatives to accelerate its sustainability agenda, including pursuing a regional energy grid and expanding large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) technology. TNB is one of the largest publicly-listed power companies in Southeast Asia.
