STX Group has launched the Vertis Global Carbon Fund, marking its entry into the asset management business. In partnership with Funds Avenue S.A. and Vertis Environmental Finance, the fund aims to raise capital for global compliance carbon markets and strengthen Emissions Trading Systems (ETS) worldwide. The Vertis Global Carbon Fund seeks to capture price appreciation in the fast-growing but historically illiquid carbon compliance markets while aligning with ESG criteria. It's expected to raise around $250 million over the next years and is a response to the growing demand for ESG-compliant investments.
