Climate Impact X (CIX), a global platform for trusted carbon credits, has reached a significant milestone by trading and clearing over 1 million tonnes of carbon credits on its CIX Exchange. CIX, which launched in 2022, provides a marketplace, auction house, and exchange for carbon credits. While the pace of demand for carbon credits has been slower than anticipated due to various factors, CIX's commitment to enhancing trust and transparency in the carbon market is evident through strong participation in its venues. The total traded volume includes both on-screen and off-screen transactions cleared through CIX Clear. Despite market uncertainties affecting end-user demand and carbon credit prices, retirements of eligible projects have remained robust.
