Singapore and the UK Enhance Cooperation in Sustainable Finance
The UK and Singapore recently held the 8th UK-Singapore Financial Dialogue in London, focusing on joint projects in sustainable finance, financial technology, and innovation. They emphasized the need to scale financing for the transition to net zero economies and to cooperate on transition plans for real economy emission reductions. Singapore highlighted its efforts in scaling blended finance and addressing energy transition needs in Asia, while the UK provided updates on its Transition Plan Taskforce's disclosure framework and international engagement with regulators. Both countries agreed to support the International Sustainability Standards Board in implementing globally interoperable disclosure standards through capacity-building and experience-sharing efforts.
