Singapore and Chile to Work Together on Carbon Markets

Singapore and Chile have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on carbon markets and carbon pricing. Both countries will work together on carbon credits aligned with the Paris Agreement's Article 6.2 and related carbon market initiatives. The agreement includes identifying mutually beneficial projects and sharing best practices on carbon services and trading ecosystem development. The collaboration also aims to explore opportunities for carbon market partnerships with third countries. Singapore is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and seeks to advance climate action through international cooperation.
