Sarawak to Research Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Says Premier
Sarawak is exploring the development of sustainable aviation fuel as part of its green energy agenda, says Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. The state's Premier said the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) was collaborating with the Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre on developing biofuels, green hydrogen and fuel cells for aviation. Abang Johari said sustainable aviation fuel would help reduce carbon emissions by 80% compared to fossil fuels and that this could be the key to sustainable air travel, contributing to the industry's emissions reduction strategy.
