Sarawak Explores Carbon Capture Business With South Korea’s Posco
Sarawak’s state-owned oil company Petroleum Sarawak (Petros) has teamed up with South Korea’s Posco Group to develop the carbon capture and storage (CCS) business in the state. The parties have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOoU) to conduct a joint study on potential carbon storage sites in Sarawak, which will be based on available data provided by Petros. The study will also include an assessment of the transportation of carbon dioxide from South Korea to Sarawak.
