Sarawak Energy has become the World Energy Council’s first patron from the region. The formalisation occurred during a virtual signing ceremony between Sarawak Energy’s CEO, Datuk Sharbini Suhaili, and the World Energy Council’s Secretary General and CEO, Dr. Angela Wilkinson. As a major hydropower developer, Sarawak Energy will support the council’s efforts to catalyse global energy transitions. In return, it gains access to the council’s extensive network of over 3,000 member organizations across 90 countries, providing insights and best practices on energy policy, innovation, and sustainability strategies.
