Automotive manufacturer Renault Group announced a series of new strategic partnerships with energy providers aimed at accelerating the decarbonization of its plants in France, including the largest to-date green electricity supply agreement in the country with Voltalia, as well as projects with ENGIE and Dalkia. The company said that the partnerships mark a “new step” in its global Climate Plan, making it possible to achieve net zero carbon for the plants of the ElectriCity cluster – consisting of Renault’s Douai, Maubeuge, and Ruitz manufacturing plants in northern France – in 2025, Europe in 2030 and worldwide in 2050.
