Refined sugar producer MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd (MSM) said that all raw sugar in its Gula Prai brand products is sourced from agribusiness group Wilmar’s no deforestation, no expansion on peat and no exploitation (NDPE) sugar initiative. Wilmar’s NDPE sugar initiative aims to make sugarcane production environmentally sustainable while improving the livelihoods of the people involved. MSM group chief executive officer Syed Feizal Syed Mohammad said in a statement that the company continuously seeks to enhance its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitment to food production.
