Mohamed Khadar appointed as Tune Protect chairman

Tune Protect Group Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohamed Khadar Merican as the insurer’s chairman, effective 1 October. He succeeds Ng Siek Chuan reranked as a non-independent director following the expiry of his 9-year term of office. Mohamed Khadar has more than 4 decades of experience in financial and general management and held various senior management positions. Protect said that Mohamed Khadar was awarded “Chairman of the Year” by the Minority Shareholders Watch Group at its ASEAN Corporate Governance Index Awards during his tenure as the Chairman of RHB Capital Bhd in 2013.
