Mizuho Financial Group has made a strategic investment in Climate Impact X (CIX), a global carbon marketplace based in Singapore, to contribute to the expansion of the carbon credit market in Asia. The investment aims to enhance connectivity and internationalize carbon markets, promoting more efficient cross-border trading. Mizuho joins other founding shareholders in CIX, including DBS Bank, SGX Group, Standard Chartered, and GenZero. The investment will be used to expand CIX's platforms and offerings in the Japanese market, addressing the growing demand for carbon credits among Japanese companies and contributing to the goal of achieving a decarbonized society.
