Microsoft Corporation, one of the world’s largest purchasers of renewable energy, recently entered into a long-term agreement to buy energy from Petronas subsidiary Amplus Solar’s 100-megawatt (MW) solar project in Rajasthan. This is expected to help the American tech company, which has pledged to be carbon-neutral by 2030, to make further progress on its decarbonisation targets. Both Microsoft and Amplus Solar are discussing how they can take the agreement further and offer more digital solutions to reach their carbon-neutral goals.
