McDonald's Malaysia, in partnership with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) and GSPARX Sdn Bhd, will install rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities at 100 selected McDonald's Drive-Thru restaurants in Malaysia. The project will be completed in phases by December 2024. The initial phase, which involved installing rooftop solar systems at 39 restaurants with a total capacity of 1216.18kWp, began in June 2022.
