Maybank, Malaysia’s largest bank by assets,, has started offering its staff the option of one month paid leave annually to pursue long term sustainability and volunteerism activities. In a statement, Maybank said that this initiative is part of its effort to promote a sustainability mindset amongst its employees and to encourage them to participate in more sustainability-related activities. Datuk Nora Abd Manaf, Maybank group chief human capital officer, said that Maybank personnel can volunteer at their own place, preference and time.
