Maybank, First Bank in Malaysia to Set Up Scope 3 Financed Emissions Baseline
Maybank is the first bank in Malaysia to establish its Scope 3 financed emissions baseline. It has identified a transition strategy that will shape its future business portfolio. The bank said that the move brings it closer to its target of a net-zero carbon position by 2050. In undertaking this exercise, Maybank also adopted the Global Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting and Reporting Standard for the Financial Industry by Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials.
