Malaysian Bar Advocates for Introduction of National Emissions Laws
The Malaysian Bar has advocated for the introduction of formal emissions-related laws at a national level, said its president Mohamad Ezri Abdul Wahab. Such legislation elevates compliance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements, he said. These laws would also provide a clear, enforceable framework for reducing emissions, improving sustainability practices and enhancing corporate governance, said Mohamad Ezri.
