Malaysia Poised to Lead in Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supply in Asia-Pacific, Says Air NZ
Air New Zealand sees Malaysia as having the potential to become a leading feedstock supplier for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the Asia Pacific region, given its diverse range of feedstock and biomass available in the country. Given the airline’s mature understanding of SAF, its chief sustainability officer Kiri Hannifin said Air NZ would be an ideal partner for SAF producers and innovators in Malaysia. The carrier expects to achieve a fuel mix with 20 per cent SAF by 2030.
