Malaysia Braces for Worsening Heatwave
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is prepared to roll out emergency measures as Malaysia prepares for a worsening heatwave until mid-April. Peatland surveys, monitoring dwindling water levels and protection for exposed workers are all being considered by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. In a worst-case scenario, the government is prepared to close schools and even businesses.
