Malakoff Gets ‘Gold’ For Sustainable Finance Work
Malakoff Corporation Bhd has received a "Gold" Impact Assessment from Malaysian Rating Corporation Bhd (MARC Ratings) for its sustainable finance framework. The framework provides guidance on raising funds through green bonds and loans, and to support the company’s green and renewable energy projects through the Asean Sustainability SRI (Sustainable and Responsible Investment) Sukuk Murabahah programmes. Malakoff managing director and group chief executive officer Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib said the company’s progress in the renewable energy sector was achieved through industry partnerships, particularly by focusing on solar, mini-hydro and biomass projects.
