KWAP Pledges RM20 Billion to Transition Assets, Emphasising ESG
The Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) – Malaysia’ largest pension fund for civil service retirees – has pledged to increase its focus on transition assets to RM20 billion, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable investment. Its chief executive officer Datuk Nik Amlizan Mohamed said environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles underpinned both KWAP’s outreach and investment strategies. She said KWAP is committed to championing ESG principles with clear targets, including substantial investments in renewable energy (RE) projects, sustainable infrastructure and innovative clean technologies.
