The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) has published the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Taxonomy. This digital tool enables investors to analyze sustainability-related financial disclosures based on the ISSB’s recently released sustainability and climate-related reporting standards. The taxonomy reflects the disclosure requirements in the first two standards, aiming to facilitate structured digital reporting of sustainability-related financial information. It is designed to be consistent with the IFRS Accounting Taxonomy, enabling companies to provide a holistic digital financial reporting package to investors. The taxonomy can also be used with other digital taxonomies. The ISSB believes that the publication of the taxonomy is critical to support capital market transparency and efficiency.
