ING and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have launched a sustainable finance program to provide EUR600mn in new loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The program aims to support climate and environmentally friendly investments by offering low-interest loans and leases to businesses in the Benelux region. The focus areas for the investments include electric vehicles, sustainable production, and green buildings. This is the eighth joint program between ING and EIB for Benelux SMEs, with half of the funding benefiting clients in the Netherlands and the other half supporting clients in Belgium and Luxembourg.
