Indonesia, Malaysia, and EU Form Ad Hoc Joint Task Force on Deforestation-Free Regulation
Indonesia, Malaysia, and the European Union have agreed to establish an Ad Hoc Joint Task Force (JTF) on European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) following a joint mission to Brussels. The task force, co-chaired by officials from the countries and facilitated by the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC), aims to address concerns and find practical solutions regarding the implementation of the EUDR. The task force will engage in dialogue and workstreams to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the parties. The meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation and best practices to address deforestation issues.
