The IFRS Foundation and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) have published the ESRS-ISSB standards interoperability guidance. This document illustrates the alignment between the sustainability reporting standards issued by IFRS’ International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). These standards are expected to form the basis of mandatory sustainability reporting requirements for many companies in the coming years. The guidance aims to reduce complexity and duplication for companies applying both sets of standards.
