How Can Asia’s Sweltering Cities be Made More Liveable?

Increasingly more people are migrating to urban areas in search of better lives, and the pressure on policymakers to manage infrastructure and resources to ensure that Asia’s urban jungles remain sustainable places is growing. Asian cities are some of the fast growing in the world. In the ever-growing Indian capital of Delhi, 79 new residents move in every hour. Other Asian cities like Dhaka, Mumbai, Kolkata, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Manila and Jakarta are also expanding at similarly exponential rates, fuelled by increased birth rates and migration.
