Green Hydrogen Fuel Could Compete With Petrol by 2050: Minister
Green hydrogen fuel could compete with petrol by 2050 once Malaysia develops its own hydrogen economy ecosystem, said minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Chang Lih Kang. As transitioning towards green hydrogen is part of the country’s plan to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, Malaysia must first establish a commercial supply of green hydrogen, which involves the construction of hydrogen plants. For now, there is no set price for green hydrogen because there is no operational plant yet, said Chang.
