The Ministry of Energy Transition and Public Utilities via the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) has approved 22 renewable energy (RE) projects from biogas and biomass, totalling 36.534 megawatts (MW) of capacity. In a statement, the ministry said that these 22 projects have been evaluated from 34 applications received through e-bidding for TiF between 5 to 26 July 2023. The green electricity generated will be supplied to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) as early as 2027, under a Feed-in Tariff (FiT) mechanism.
