Tenaga Nasional Bhd plans to accelerate its green agenda

Electric utility company Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) plans to fast track its green energy blueprint to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. President and chief executive officer Datuk Baharin Din said TNB is looking at retiring certain coal-fired power plants earlier than the expiration of their power purchase agreements (PPAs). “This is subject to shareholders' agreement and approvals from the relevant authorities and regulators," he said.
