The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Petra) is prioritising developing and implementing a sustainable energy and water supply framework for the data centre industry, said Deputy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir. Noting that the Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) had attracted foreign investors, Akmal said Petra was enhancing efforts to promote renewable energy through initiatives like the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS). Set to launch in September, CRESS aims to supply companies with better access to green electricity and adhere to sustainable development goals.
