United States-based electric vehicle (EV) maker, Tesla will open an office and establish a network of charging stations for its cars in Malaysia. According to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Tesla's application to import battery-run EVs into Malaysia has been approved and the company will also open showrooms and service centres. This is expected to create skilled jobs in Malaysia and increase the participation of local companies in the Tesla ecosystem, the ministry said.
