Edotco Group Embarks on Reforestation and Oil Recycling Project
Telecommunications infrastructure services company edotco Group Sdn Bhd, in partnership with three other organisations, has initiated a reforestation and oil recycling project. As part of its reforestation efforts to support Malaysia’s 100 million trees campaign, it will focus on verified forestry projects to ensure trees being planted can offset carbon emissions. As for oil recycling, the firm is looking at creating an industry where used cooking oil can be recycled into biodiesel. Azzahraa Annuar, director of governance, risk and compliance at edotco said that this will help aspiring entrepreneurs interested in the venture, as well as prevent the clogging of drains when used cooking oil is not properly disposed of, which in turn causes flooding.
