Ecoceres Eyes New Plant In Malaysia For Green Fuels
Ecoceres, a unit of Hong Kong and China Gas (Towngas) will soon begin construction of a second plant to turn waste oil into low carbon aircraft and vehicle fuel. The planned plant in Johor Bahru will be able to produce 350,000 tonnes of low-carbon transportation fuel a year from used cooking oil and waste water from palm oil mills. According to CEO Philip Siu Kam-shing, this investment will allow the company to tap into the strong green fuel demand in Europe.
