Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), an agency under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, together with the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB), made a corporate pledge to increase the adoption of sustainability and climate action by businesses across the digital economy on 13 October. The first batch of signatories to the Malaysia Digital Climate Action Pledge (MDCAP) consists of 28 businesses from the digital economy sector. They will have access to resources including a carbon toolkit that will help them with sustainability reporting, the agency said in a statement.
