Climate change report reveals the truth

Malaysia asserted that there had been no foul play in producing the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Biennial Update Report (BUR). The Environment and Water Ministry (KASA) said it undertook a rigorous process when updating the national Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories, including a national inventory report and information regarding mitigation actions and support received. KASA stressed that all information and values reported in the BUR went through multiple stakeholder consultations with data providers, experts, academicians, NGOs, and the private sector. Upon submission of the BUR, UNFCCC’s technical experts examined and analysed Malaysia’s report, which took about 43 weeks.
