Deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof who is also the energy transition and public utilities minister said that the Integrated Clean Energy (TBB) programme 2024 will generate direct investments worth RM12 billion and create at least 36,000 jobs. TBB will support Malaysia’s commitment to increasing renewable energy share to 70 per cent by 2050 up from the current 25 per cent, said Fadillah. Initiatives under TBB include a net energy metering (NEM) programme, which offers an additional quota for at least 25,000 domestic users and 100 commercial users to install solar photovoltaic systems on roof spaces.
