China to implement stricter vehicle emissions standards from July 1. China will introduce upgraded emission standards for vehicles across the country from July 1. The new rules, known as National VI B emission standards, include stricter requirements for pollutants such as carbon monoxide. The regulations will ban the production, import, and sale of vehicles that do not meet the new standards, placing pressure on automakers to clear their inventories of old models.
