Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) collaboration with Central Medicare Sdn Bhd (CMSB) to introduce solar energy at the latter’s factory and hostel sites in Teluk Intan, Perak, is expected to help the glove maker reduce costs by up to RM72 million over 25 years. With a total capacity of 6.039 megawatts peak (MWp), the rooftop solar photovoltaic system can reduce carbon emissions by about 5,215 metric tonnes per year, said Haziq Zairel Oh, group chief executive of CMSB’s parent company HARPS Global Pte Ltd.
