Bursa Carbon Exchange Holds Country’s First Nature-based Carbon Credit Auction
Bursa Malaysia announced eight successful bidders for Malaysia’s first nature-based carbon credits auction, based on carbon credits from Sabah’s Kuamut Rainforest Conservation project. The auction’s winners included public listed companies Maybank, Gas Malaysia, Yinson Holdings, and CIMB Bank, along with national oil and gas company Petroliam Nasional (Petronas). In its statement, Bursa Malaysia said the carbon credits were cleared at RM50 per contract.
