BMW Group reduced its EU fleet-wide CO2 emissions by more than 9% in 2022. According to the company's estimate, fleet emissions reached 105 grams per kilometer, or 9.4% below 115.9 grams in 2021. The company said that the reductions were largely driven by a shift in sales to electric vehicles, as well as by increases in vehicle efficiency. BMW's sales of fully electric vehicles more than doubled in 2022, exceeding 215,000 units.
