Axiata Group Bhd is set to launch the Axiata Net-Zero Carbon Roadmap this year to achieve net-zero emissions no later than 2050, with a near-term 2030 target to reduce operational carbon emissions by 45%. President and group chief executive officer Datuk Izzaddin Idris has said having established a strong foundation, especially under the social and governance pillars, Axiata is on track to develop a focused climate action plan to further strengthen its environment, social, and governance (ESG) responses.
