APEC Leaders Call For Inclusive Economic Growth Built On Sustainability Agenda

At the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) in Bangkok last week, leaders pledged to intensify their efforts in ensuring an inclusive post-pandemic economic recovery. The conference opened with a Leaders’ Retreat, which focused on balanced, inclusive and sustainable growth. In a press statement, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohammad Zuki Ali expressed confidence that an approach to use technology and innovation to create circular and sustainable business models, known as the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model, endorsed by APEC, will complement Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to foster ethical business practices and attract sustainable investments into the region.
