Alliance Bank has started their “BeESG” campaign, which aims to help large and small businesses be more competitive by adopting environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. In a statement, the bank’s group chief strategy, marketing and business development officer Dr Aaron Sum said, ‘SMEs are the backbone of the country’s economy. Whatever they do has a multiplying effect [on] the community and the environment… We believe that ESG is and can [allow] businesses to build unique and profitable propositions while adding value and contributing back to the community and planet.
