Air Liquide And TotalEnergies To Produce Low-Carbon Hydrogen In France
Industrial gases company Air Liquide and TotalEnergies plan to produce low-carbon hydrogen at the Grandpuits site in France, as France looks to increase its sources of renewable energy. France and other European countries are aiming to build up their renewable energy resources with Russian energy supplies hit as a result of sanctions against Moscow following its invasion of Ukraine. Air Liquide will invest more than EUR130mn (USD133mn) in the construction and operation of a new facility producing hydrogen, while TotalEnergies' biorefinery will use the unit's hydrogen to produce sustainable aviation fuel.
